Victoria Gardens will also have Wednesday night entertainment for the five Late Night Shopping dates when the Christmas lights will be extended until 8pm. The gardens will then be illuminated daily at selected times until the new year. On the following Wednesday, November 23, the Christmas Lights in Victoria Gardens will be back for the second year.

Alongside the City Centre lights being switched-on at 7pm, many of Truro’s shop windows will once again be decorated with Christmas reindeer lights from November 18. Meanwhile the Big Festive Shop Small Market hosted by Duchy Fairs will be on Lemon Quay until 9pm on Festive Friday, and back again on Saturday November 19, giving opportunities to shop for seasonal gifts from over 60 local traders. We’re delighted to have an exciting calendar of events back this year thanks to Truro BID, Truro City Council, Truro Farmers Market and their partners. On the day (November 18) there will be special entertainment from 5pm organised by Hall for Cornwall while at 7pm the lights will be switched-on by Johnny Cowling, Lucy Start, Truro’s Town Crier Lionel Knight, and cast members from Hall for Cornwall’s Christmas Show Treasure Island.įollowing the switch-on, there will be a celebratory parade around Truro featuring performers, music and of course, Father Christmas in his sleigh. Festive Friday next month will launch the festive season with the traditional Christmas lights switch-on followed by a celebratory parade through the city streets. Truro is getting ready to go all out this festive season with plenty for the whole of Cornwall, residents and visitors alike, to enjoy.
